Private Pilot License

At Zephyr Air, our Private Pilot course is designed to provide students with the skills and techniques necessary to plan and conduct flights safely.

Whether you’re looking to fly for pleasure or pursue an aviation career, our comprehensive training program will help you achieve your goals.

To enroll in our Private Pilot course, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 16 years old to fly solo.

  • Be at least 17 years old to receive your Private Pilot License.

  • Demonstrate English proficiency.

  • Obtain a third-class FAA Medical Certificate or higher.

  • Have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Instrument Rating

Looking to enhance your pilot proficiency and increase your travel opportunities?

Our Instrument course is designed to do just that. This rating is an addition to a pilot certificate that allows pilots to fly solely by reference to the aircraft instruments. Our training program focuses on building your skills and confidence, enabling you to smoothly navigate the National Airspace System, radar environments, and the air traffic control network. An instrument rating grants a pilot more freedom by allowing them to fly with reduced visibility under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).

To enroll in our Instrumental Rating course, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Private Pilot Certificate.

  • Demonstrate English proficiency.

Commercial Pilot License

A commercial pilot certificate is a requirement for those who wish to make a career out of flying. However, many pilots choose to earn this certificate simply to further their piloting skills and knowledge.

Zephyr Air’s Commercial Pilot course is designed to help individuals acquire the advanced knowledge and skills required to become a commercial pilot. Our comprehensive training program covers a wide range of topics, including commercial procedures, FAA regulations, and aircraft control techniques.

To exercise the full rights of a commercial pilot, you must have:

  • At least a private pilot license with an instrument rating (see Ratings)

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Hold a Class II medical certificate

Flight Instructor Certificate CF1 / CF11 Course

This certificate allows commercial pilots to become educators in aviation, teaching pilot certificate applicants, conducting flight reviews, assessing pilot proficiency, and performing insurance checkouts.

Our comprehensive training program is designed to expand your flight knowledge and increase safety awareness. With a CFI/CFII certificate, you’ll have the skills and qualifications needed to become a successful flight instructor and share your passion for aviation with others.

To become a flight instructor, you must be 18 years old and hold at least a commercial pilot certificate, as well as an instrument rating. You must also pass two FAA written examinations and an FAA flight test for each instructor certificate/rating sought.
